Rajasthn Special Tour

Rajasthn Tour 13 Night 14 Days

Day 1: Arrival Delhi

Delhi, arrive anytime. Our friendly tour representative will meet you at the Airport. From there you will be taken to your hotel. The rest of the evening is at your leisure.

Day 2: 9.A.M. Delhi Sight seeing

After breakfast your driver will pick you up for a great day of visiting the wonderful sights of Delhi. You will visit Red Fort, a massive red sandstone structure built 1639-1648 by Shah Jahan as his royal palace. Jama Masjid, one of India largest mosques has two 40-meter high minarets. Chandni Chowk, is one of the oldest and busiest markets in Old Delhi. Rajghat, is the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. Humayun’s Tomb, this impressive tomb, was built in 1565-72 by the widow of Humayun 9 yearsafter his death. Qutub Minar, 72.5 meters tall, the red sandstone and marble minaret is covered with intricate carvings and verses from the Qur’an. India Gate, was constructed as a memorial in honor of the 90,000 soldiers who lost their lives during World War 1. Lotus Temple, the Baha’i House of Worship and winner of numerous architectural awards was completed in 1986. Akshardham Temple, (the eternal divine abode of the supreme God) rated as one of the wonders of this world, it was completed in 2005. Later on your driver will take you back to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Delhi.

Day 3: 8.A.M. Delhi to Agra (Taj Mahal is close on Friday)

After breakfast your driver will pick you up for the trip to Agra home of the Taj Mahal. On the way there we visit Sikandra, Akbar’s Tomb (built 1605-1613). Later on we proceed to Agra where you will check into your hotel. After freshening up your driver will take you to some other sights including Agra Fort, This Red Fort was first mentioned in 1080 AD. Akbar had it rebuilt, completing it in 1573. The Mausoleum of Itmad-ud-Daullah, is also known as Baby Taj (built 1622-1628). The Mehtab Bagh, (Moonlight Garden) situated to the north of the Taj Mahal complex. After watching the sunset over the majestic Taj Mahal. Your driver will take you back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Agra.

Day 4: 6.A.M. Agra to Jaipur

An early morning start to view the sunrise over the Taj Mahal. In order to beat the crowds this is the best time to visit the World Heritage listed Architectural Masterpiece. After the death of Mumtaz Mahal, the grief-stricken Shah Jahan had the Taj Mahal, built (1632-1648) as a tribute of Love for his favorite wife. This white marble mausoleum is regarded as one of the finest examples of Mughal Architecture. After visiting the Taj Mahal you return to the hotel for breakfast and checkout. On the way to Jaipur 40 km out of Agra we stop at Fatehpur Sikri, once the capital of the great Mughal ruler Akbar the Great, After lunch we visit the famous Chand Baori Stepwell, in the village of Abhaneri, way to Jaipur. After your arrival at the Hotel, the rest of the day is at you leisure. You may go for a stroll through the colorful bustling bazaars before you head back to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Jaipur.

Day 5: 8.30 A.M. Jaipur Sight seeing

After breakfast your driver will pick you up for a tour of Jaipur the pink city and capital of Rajasthan, to explore this amazing place with you. The magnificent Amber Fort, you might like to take an Elephant ride to the hilltop of Amber Fort. It is a blend of Hindu and Mughal architecture. Jal Mahal. the “Water Palace” is a wonderful peaceful place in the middle of a lake. City Palace, built (1729-1732) by Sawai Jai Singh II. The spectacular Hawa Mahal, “Palace of winds” was built in 1799. The Jantar Mantar, is a collection of architectural astronomical instruments. The stunning Birla Temple, The view of Jaipur from Nahargarh Fort is absolutely breathtaking. Jaigarh Fort, is the most spectacular of the 3 hilltop Forts. Later in the day you will return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Jaipur.

Day 6: 9.30 AM Jaipur to Pushkar

After breakfast at the Hotel your driver will take you on your journey to Pushkar, an ancient Hindu pilgrimage city situated in the Ajmer district in the state of Rajasthan, with many temples, most of them not very old because a lot were destroyed during Muslim conquests in the area. The Pushkar Lake has 52 ghats where pilgrims descend to the lake to bathe in the sacred waters; The Brahma Temple at Pushkar is the most prominent in the world. Thousands of pilgrims come to worship and bathe in the holy Pushkar Lake during the full moon religious festival in October-November. The famous Sufi Saint Moinuddin Chishti established the Chishti Order in the city of Ajmer. The Dargah of Ajmer is an important Sufi Islamic shrine for Muslim pilgrims. After your arrival at the Hotel the rest of the day is at you leisure. You may go for a Camel safari or explore the area on foot. Later in the day you will return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Pushkar.

Day 7: 9.AM Pushkar to Udaipur.

After breakfast your driver will pick you up for the trip to Udaipur, (the beautiful city of lakes). On the way there we visit one of the most famous temples of Rajasthan the Eklingji Temple, It is dedicated to the Lord Shiva, and was built in 734 AD. Proceeding to Udaipur where you will be able to check into your hotel later on in the afternoon. The rest of the day is at you leisure. You might like to view the sunset from the Sajjan Garh, (Monsoon Palace) that offers a panoramic view of the city’s lakes and surrounding countryside. Later on you will return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Udaipur.

Day 8: 9. A.M Udaipur Sightseeing

After breakfast your driver will pick you up for a tour of Udaipur, the City of Lakesoften referred to as the “Venice of the East” Maharan Udai Singh in 1559 founded Udaipur. We will visit the City Place Museum. The Jagdish Temple, (built in 1651) is a fine example of Hindo –Aryan architecture in the middle of Udaipur; The Beautiful Saheliyon Ki Bari (Garden of Queens) was built in the 18th century for the Royal ladies. The Bhartiya Lok Kala Museum has the most impassive collection of Folk –art in Rajasthan. In the late afternoon enjoy walking through the old city market. In the evening see Bagore ki Haveli, at Gangaur Ghat a historic mansion form the 17th century and enjoy a traditional Rajasthani fold dance performance. Later in the day you will return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Udaipur.
